AtaParadise's In-Depth Newbie Guide

Everybody knows what it feels like being lost and not knowing what to do and where to go. Don't you worry, just follow this guide and you will be streaming along! Grabbing some nice aD on the way!

Obviously, for the time being you are not going to have alot of aD (Atarian Dollars) so let's head on over to the Games Section to earn some!

In the Games Section you will find various games ranging from Machine Slots to Turtle Racing, however I will only mention the games that profit can be made from!

Rock, Paper and Scissors

There is no skill needed in this game, it's just luck whether you win or not. For a complete guide click here.

Turtle Races

This is another easy game, again based on luck. For a complete guide click here.

Flaming Die

You can win anything from being burnt to 3,000aD :) For a complete guide click here.

Your 'Schedule'

Every 10 minutes - Visit Chet to gain cooking experience.
Note: Once you have reaced level 21, you will receive a cool avatar!

Every 1 Hour - Catch fish at Lake Siphalon.
Note: Fish caught can later be exchanged at the fish market.

Every 1 Hour** - Pick some berries at Melrose Acres.
Note: Berries picked can be exchanged in the Berry Shop.
** 40 Minutes for Diamond Members.

Every 1 Hour - Head over to the Driving School to gain driving experience.
Note: When you reach 150 points you will get a snazzy trophy for your profile.

Every 1 1/2 Hours - Play the Safe Crack game.

Every 3 Hours - Play the Flaming Die Game.

Every 4 Hours - Play the Turtle Racing game.

Every 24 Hours - Play max amount of Rock, Paper and Scissors.

Every 24 Hours - Complete all Alien Quests.

Chet the Chef - Gaining Cooking Experience

Chet the Chef can always be found stirring something up in his kitchen in Farine. To start off he lets you play around in his kitchen for the small fee of 75aD. You start at level 1, and slowly you will gain 'cooking experience points' each time you visit him, till you reach level 25.

As you progress, it will cost more each time you visit Chet, the highest is around 500aD, EACH VISIT.

Why go through all this hassle you ask? Well, at level 21, and roughly 5250 experience points, you will receive this cute avatar for your collection!

Casting a Line - Gaining Fish Scales

Located in Farine you will find Lake Siphalon where you can grab a fishing rod and catch some fish every hour. When you first start you will be getting 1-3 pounds (lbs) of fish each time, however as you keep fishing progressing through the ranks you will get more pounds each time! The most you can get at once is 40 pounds.

Each time you fish, you will also accumulate fish scales, which you can use at the fish exchange to purchase more fish for your food collection! When you get 150 scales you can go buy yourself a rainbow fish, which will get you this avatar.

Also, once you have fished 70+ pounds of fish you will get this avatar!

Berry Picking

Same as fishing, every hour** you can go to Melrose Acres to pick berries! Each time you pick berries you collect bP (berry points). Thses points can only be used in the Berry Shop, where you can purchase more berries, which can be used for your food collection! Buy a Berry Basket from the donations section to pick 50% more berries each visit!
Once you have 1500 bP you can buy the Emo Berry, which will give you this avatar.

** - Diamond members can pick berries every 40 minutes.

Doughnuts and Burning Rubber - The Driving School

Unfortunetly, there will be no wheel spinning here :( You got to get your license first! :) Head over to the Driving School to meet Debby, so she can start to teach you how to drive! Each time you visit her, you will gain 'driving experience points. You can go for lessons every 1 hour, however she charges a small fee of 150aD!. She only teaches you till you have 150 experience

Once you have more then 150 driving experience points, you can go to the Racing School to increase your point even FURTHER! As of yet you cannot actually drive your car. :(
